Paperback launch date for The Oracles of Troy

I am pleased to announce that The Oracles of Troy will be released in paperback on Friday 22nd August this year!

This is a UK launch date but my publisher will also be distributing internationally. Copies will be available to purchase in high street bookshops and online through sites such as Amazon.

I’ll also be holding a book launch in August, here in Leicestershire. It’ll be great to see you if you’re able to attend. The date, time and venue will be announced on the website, but is likely to be at Waterstones in Market Harborough on either Thursday 21st or Friday 22nd August. Almost four years to the date since the launch of The Armour of Achilles!

Oracles full cover.2

My publisher, Mereo, have recommended a cover price of £8.99.

A few pre-launch copies will be available from 1st June, on a first-come-first-served basis – please contact me using the Contact page if you’d like a copy reserving. UK postage will be £3.40, which is at cost and includes a cardboard sleeve to protect your copy from the vagaries of the post. I’ll contact you nearer the time with further information. Unfortunately, due to prohibitive postage costs these pre-launch copies won’t be available outside of the UK.

I’ll be happy to sign pre-launch copies and add a message of your choice (within reason!) In return, I would ask you to leave feedback on Amazon for any of the books in the Adventures of Odysseus series.

Thanks for your patience in waiting for a print version of The Oracles of Troy. The series will continue in 2015 with The Voyage of Odysseus.

Great news! Wish I could have a copy reserved pre-launch but I live in Belgium …

It’s going to be a long wait ’til August 22… hope I have it in time for my holiday to Kefalonia (or as it’s called in the books, Samos).

Sorry I can’t post it to you, Linos. Postal costs are shocking! Hope you enjoy Kefalonia – make sure you take a trip over to Ithaca!

No problem! And I will most likely, as I have family living on both islands!

Thanks Eric. A few people have told me they liked Oracles best of the four books so far. I might run a poll on Facebook one day to see which books people like most.
      Best wishes,
      Glyn

    Glyn,

I can’t tell you how delighted I am that Oracles is out. I’d been checking my local Waterstones religiously for about 3 years awaiting the next in the series. The mounting disappointment eventually compelled me (unlike the Greeks) to give up my siege and seek other chroniclers of the Trojan wars. None came close, a late summer holiday to Greece rekindled my interest and this morning I thought I’d google “Glyn Iliffe” on the off chance. Lo and behold, I was directed to this website and news of the release of Oracles. I will therefore be visiting said local Waterstones at lunch time today in the hope they have it in stock and will then have the difficult but welcome decision to make of whether to stop reading the book I’m currently enjoying and am halfway through and immediately begin yours or wait to finish the current book. Either way, I’ll be consulting the Oracles ! Best wishes,

      Hi Howard
Humble apologies for the long wait – most readers probably thought I’d given up or died! Fortunately I haven’t and am currently working on the fifth in the series. I’m glad you checked the internet on the off-chance and found Oracles, and I hope you enjoy it as much as you did the first three.
If you’re in a feedback frame of mind at any time, a review on Amazon would be greatly appreciated.
      Best wishes,
      Glyn
