Next book

The Voyage of Odysseus is nearly finished.

I completed the first draft in August and the initial edit was done by the end of October. It’s currently with my editor, Richard Sheehan, and should be back with me at the start of December. Depending on how much work needs doing, I’m hoping to convert it to an e-book format by the New Year and send it out for proof reading.

On that subject, if you have a Kindle or other e-reader I’m looking for volunteers to proof-read the manuscript for me before the book goes on general release. Please contact me via the contact page if you’d like to be one of the first to read The Voyage of Odysseus.

The cover is currently being designed by Justine Elliott, who created the stunning jacket for The Oracles of Troy. I’ve given her free reign so don’t know what it will look like yet, but if it’s even half as good as the last one I’ll be pleased. As with Oracles, the book will be released as a paperback and an e-book (heartfelt apologies to all hardback fans!) It’s down to the publisher when the paperback will come out, but I’m hoping it will be available between January and March. As I’m releasing the e-book version myself I may publish this before the paperback or release it on the same day.

Thanks to all readers of the series for your patience. I hope it will be worth the wait!

Excellent and exciting news, Glyn! I cannot wait to get my hands on it – feels like forever since I’ve been able to read something new in the story… 🙂

Yes, it’s been a couple of years since Oracles was released as an e-book. I hope Voyage will have been worth the wait!

      Hi Stu
Thanks for the compliment! I’m excited about the release of the next book, too, though a bit frustrated with the usual last minute delays that always crop up. It’s quite a bit bigger than Oracles (175k words compared to 145k) and I hope readers enjoy it as much as the last book.
      Best wishes,
      Glyn

      Hi John
Nice to hear you like the series so far. The next book is still some time off as I’m only a part-time writer (one day a week). It usually takes me 18 months to 2 years from start to eventual publication, so that’s looking like the end of 2017 🙁 I think I can pretty much guarantee the suitors will get what’s coming to them, though.
      Best wishes,
      Glyn

Just finished reading the latest episode while on holiday in Crete. I keep waiting for a galley to appear in the bay. Loved all the books, though found ####’s fate very sad. That said can’t wait for the final leg in the journey. Hi Ho Calypso.

      Hi Iain
Sorry, had to edit your post a little so as not to spoil the end for those who haven’t read it yet. Hopefully the final episode will be out by late next year.
      Best wishes,
      Glyn
